Saturday 25th February 2012 - tests will be prelim 13, novice 34 & elem 42
The sessions will be ran in a 30 minute format, with test then going through it working on things that will improve your marks and having a lesson going from points raised during your test.
There is plenty of parking and a separate side of the arena to warm up before your test. It'll be £30.00 for your lesson/test and £5 to hire the arena on top. If people just wanted a 30 min lesson numbers depending we might be able to fit them in.
Thursday 8th December - Unfortunately the rain/ strong winds shortened our day but we managed to do 3 horses in the morning. We rode Prelim 10 and it was marked in proper test conditions. Mo worked on impulsion with Debbie and Ty was working beautifully so much so Mo didn't want her lesson to end despite the rain!! I worked on developing a more consistent rhythm in my trot work, making the moves flow much easier. Debbie showed me lots of tips to increase my marks on the corners and ways to set him up for his canter movements. Ange and Puzzle worked on leg yielding to improve straightness, Puzzle really took to this and went well for Ange (watch out for him in the ridden coloureds next year!!)
Debbie is a list 2 judge and her eye for detail and innovative ways to improve your marks are invaluable. I have watched many of her lessons and always find people come out with such enthusiasm, its very infectious.
We finished our wet morning with homemade flapjacks thanks to Alison and some lovely homemade soup from Sue, totally gutted we had to cancel our afternoon.
